PREMPEH GOES BLIND DATING
April 5, 2004
The Royal Pair is the name. Alliance is the tradition.
This is what is prevailing between the two royal schools, Prempeh College and Yaa Asntewaa.
Before vacation, the euphoria on campus was so high after the two heads of the above
mentioned schools had a meeting to discuss the way forward for the two schools in
terms of the bond that links them.
About three days later, Prempeh guys started getting letters
which were addressed to the class prefects. B1, B2, B3 had their
letters from Yagss with names attached that the boys should choose
a girl each as their blind dates. S1 also had two lettters - one
from St. Mary's in Accra and another from Yagss but they chose the
one from Tanoso. Similarly, S3 had 2 letters from Krobo Girls
and YAGSS which they also chose the one closer to them. There was a
problem in S2 as 60 boys were given a list of 46 girls to choose from.
That is to say, some of the guys have to serve as celibates or forgo adhering to the alliance.
This is the problem that has hit the boys as their number exceed that of the girls.
All the ladies in Ghana want a piece of Prempeh boys, but our loyalty is to
Yaa Asantewaa Royal Girls School.
No cream shirt-wearing boy has been pursued by any girl anywhere. It is only the boys in green - Prempeh boys - that get all the affection.
