Prempeh Yearbook 2002/03
Cadet Report 2002/03
“Do you accept this office to which you have been appointed?” We humbly replied, “yes we do.” Fiifi and Alex then handed over their files to us and ever since that event life on campus was never the same. The arduous task of restoring the confidence of the college administration in the cadet group after events last year began. To start with, a special force comprising stoutly built cadets was formed to check indiscipline on campus.
Fortunately, for us, within two weeks of operation, we brought to an end an era when outsiders popularly known as “Israelites” attacked and extorted monies from innocent Prempeh students. We scored a real victory when we attacked and sent them packing through the “KOSOVO” route on campus in one of their raids! We must admit that this feat really brought back the confidence masters and students had lost in the college cadet corps. We also ensured that no student stayed away from school gathering especially morning devotion and service.

There were several incidents where recalcitrant students were taken to the senior house masters office for punishment. From then on, we never looked back, operation ALINKO was launched under the auspices of the PSI Booyaa, Gudies and Tonto. Under these, clean-up exercises were undertaken in certain areas on campus such as the headmaster’s bungalow, his Assistants’ and we kept the compound in shape for the 40th Anniversary conference of CHASS (Conference of Heads of Assisted Schools). We also filled all the potholes that were on the streets in and around the college.
Discipline and service were our hallmark and therefore it was not surprising that eleven prefects were cadets and those who refused to attend training regularly washed the college buses. This positive measure also made membership and interest grow!
This batch of cadet corps will go down into our history books as having performed four different Guards of Honour for personalities such as the President J.A. Kufour, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Hon. S.K. Boafo and our hard working headmaster Mr. A.O. Acheaw.
We wish to express our profound gratitude to these special people for making the Booyaa Gudies combination a success. The PSI WOI Frank Nutsukpie, R.S.M. Mac Tonto, “Terror”, Bizzo”, Nixon, Pansti, “Rasta”, Miniskirt”, “Hector D”
We wish to also thank Senior Cadets for making our reign a successful one.
