National Science & Maths Quiz 2004
Prempeh tops Ashanti
March 12, 2004
Prempeh College today hosted the inter schools
Regional Maths quiz. The boys who represented
Prempeh College are Louis, Richard and Samson. So many schools
represented with two students each. At the end of the
competition, Louis of Prempeh came first, Richard and
Samson all of Prempeh placed second and third respectively.
The brainee of OWASS placed fourth, which is not surprising because
at civilized grounds where their school audience will not give them an advantage
by distracting Prempeh contestants during our turn, the perennial
cheaters at Santasi cannot hold a candle to Prempeh.
When we faced them in a friendly duel at their school last February 7, the Santasi audience distracted us in such a way
that we could not even hear the Quiz master. And one would think that the authorities at that school
would have the foresight to forbid this dishonorable practice. Rather it seemed like an institutional policy!
Anyway the OWASS boys have now realized that facing Prempeh College at a neutral ground or a refined venue - such as the one we provided to them today - is an entirely new proposition.
They didn't have their audience to cheat for them and guess where they placed? A dismal fourth!!
Prempeh thus represent
the Ashanti Region for the big event that includes all schools
that placed first and second in the Regional quiz.
As a matter of fact, the shame and grace of the Ashanti
Kingdom lies in the hands of the College, and to be precise,
Louis Oteng Gyimah and Richard. prempeh.org will keep you
updated.
