National Science & Maths Quiz 2004
Prempeh off to Cape Coast
March 12, 2004
The sharks of the college made up of Louis Oteng Gyimah, Samson Osei Kwaku, Richard and Ebenezer Dwubeng this
evening made their journey of conquest to the southern part
of the country where they meet schools like Holy Child, Adisadel, St. Augustine's,
Wesley Girls High and Mfantsipim in a trial quiz competition to arm them to the teeth for the National
Science and Maths Quiz scheduled for April 12.
The boys who are so much determined and would like to sweep every trophy said
they were going to make the school proud in the Southern part of the country
during their trials.
The boys have won every trial to date including the Zonal SRC Science Quiz and the Ashanti Maths Quiz Competition.
The only blotch on their record is the 5-point loss to the perennial cheaters at Santasi, who in their conventional manner opted to
distract our contestants anytime we got our turn of the questions. "The noise was so loud that we could not hear the Quizmaster,"
our team recently revealed. This obviously is not surprising at all given their history of rowdiness.
When we faced the OWASS boys again in a quiz that count and at a neutral ground, they were dominated by Prempeh. In fact, they were confounded
by the brilliance of the Prempeh team (duo) that placed 1st - 2nd in recent Ashanti Regional Maths Quiz, which the Santasi boys were consigned to
taking the 4th place. The OWASS boys have now realized that facing Prempeh College at a neutral ground is an entirely new proposition.
At civilized grounds like Wesley Girls, Adisadel, Mfatsipim and Holy Child, Prempeh College's Quiz team will come to the fore.
