National Science & Maths Quiz 2004
Cowards die many times before their death
April 21, 2004
One of the interesting stories from this year's National Science & Maths Quiz is that
Wesley Girls High School and Holy Child Girls of Cape Coast both bowed out of this year's competition
to save face. These are the two schools that were ranked first and third respectively in the nation in
last year's controversial SSCE League rankings which Prempeh placed 15th. Presumably the Cape Coast ladies
loath to put up any performance that may blemish their good standing or belie their superior ranking.
So they opted not to participate at all.
Anway, that is their choice.
Prempeh faces OWASS on Thursday in the Quarter final. Outstanding St. Peter's gets a date with surprising GSTS of Takoradi.
But the most fascinating school has been Bolgatanga Secondary, which eliminated St. Louis Girls in the first round, and loss to PRESEC
by a lone point. This is the same Bolga School which Prempeh beat by 25 in a friendly quiz.
