Asiamah helped Prempeh set a record in 2005 by beating Kinbu 107-28. That is the
highest point total scored in the history of the competition. He is seen in this June 2008 photo training Prempeh's current contestants.
Senior Asiamah, a member of the record-breaking Prempeh Science quiz squad of 2005, has joined last year's contestants at Sofoline
as the old boys strive to coach this year's team ahead of the national competition in 2 weeks time.
The 2008 squad opted not to represent the school because of the lack of preparation on the part of the college's administrators.
The masters have not been teaching the boys so they decided to pull out of the competition to avoid the danger of disgracing themselves
on the national stage.

The former Dompoase headmaster actually does not know what an inter-school quiz competition entails. He walked to Assembly last July and asked to see
Prempeh's quiz contestants, only to be booed by the students because the contestants had long since graduated. Achiaw was stunned to find that
final year students are the ones selected as the school's representatives. He said he thought it would be form two boys representing the school in quiz competitions.
Asiamah and Kwabena Tawiah, also of the 2005 group, are joined by members of the 2007 squad (Dompreh, Jeffrey, Mawuenya and Samuel) on Prempeh campus every day, where they offer free
tutorials to the Prempeh team.
It appears now that our team will represent the school in Accra. Despite the inadequate preparation they have now found some confidence.
